Scheduling the trigger for system tasks

System tasks are the only tasks you can schedule within Scheduled Tasks. You schedule all other tasks in the definition of the search source. (For more information, see Scheduling the trigger for a task .)

If you launch a search source task while another search source task connected to the same search source is running, the more recently launched task will fail and will log a message. Wait until the task in progress has completed before launching a new task.

Only administrators with accounts that include the PRIV_TASK_MANAGE privilege can access, schedule, and launch tasks.

To schedule the trigger for system tasks

1 Log in to the Admin console.
2 Choose Scheduled Tasks from the navigation pane.
3 Choose the System Tasks.
4 Choose the Reschedule Task Trigger option for the task.
5 Choose the Frequency and specify the interval. (For more information, see Fields: Reschedule Task Trigger .)

Important: When you schedule a task, you need to be aware of the location of the server in relation to your location. Scheduled times are local to the server hosting Portfolio. For example, if the server is located in the US Mountain time zone and you are located in the US Eastern time zone, a task scheduled for 11:00 pm on the 6th will run at 1:00 am on the 7th your local time.

6 When you have finished scheduling the task, choose OK.
